The Happiest day in the Life of Olli Mäki is a period movie set in 1962 and based on real events. I made a lot of research of the era and how people looked in Helsinki versus in smaller towns in Finland.

Jarkko Lahti was wearing a silicone prosthetic on his nose throughout the film to make him look more like a professional boxer and more like Olli Mäki himself. He also wore a tupee to have more similar hair to Olli. These needed keeping eye on to them when Jarkko was sweating while boxing or sauna scenes in the film.
